Infiniti, the luxury automotive performance brand from Japan, makes its third Dubai International Motor Show appearance at the start of a new six-year growth plan that will see sales rise to take 10 per cent of global luxury market sectors by 2016*. Two key models for the Middle East, the enhanced 2012 Infiniti FX and newly-introduced Infiniti G25, will make their regional debuts at the show.
“The Dubai International Motor Show gives us the opportunity to introduce Infiniti to a broader audience and give them firsthand experience of the model range,” said Juergen Schmitz, General Manager Infiniti Middle East. “We are committed to growing our business and when presented with our vehicles we have found a very high conversion rate. We have some fantastic product, some fresh new arrivals and an exciting competition in the form of the Infiniti Pitstop Challenge.
“The Middle East is an important market for us and through the launch of new Infiniti products and Infiniti Centres throughout region we are laying solid foundations here and are determined to build on them.”
In June this year, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn announced that Infiniti’s target is to take 10 per cent of global luxury market sectors by 2016. As well as an increase in the number of models, key markets are in line for a boost in the number of Infiniti Centres.
The luxury performance brand from Japan comes to Dubai International Motor Show on a high, buoyed by enthusiasm for its cars, its technology and its service, and with a profile that increases with each success for its Formula One partner, Red Bull Racing, and its Global Brand Ambassador, Sebastian Vettel.
Infiniti highlights at the Dubai International Motor Show include:
• Regional debut of 2012 FX35 & FX50
• Regional debut of G25
• Regional debut of a high-performance FX Sebastian Vettel version concept
• Infiniti Pitstop Challenge competition

2012 Infiniti FX
FX is one of the most popular Infinitis globally and a key performer in the Middle East, and the enhanced for 2012 model will be displayed for the first time in the Region at Dubai International Motor Show. With five-star equipment and safety, the 2012 FX has been given an aggressive new front grille and fascia – featuring a heavy influence from the stunning Infiniti Essence Concept – as well as a new 20-inch wheel design and an updated instrument cluster. Available with a choice of a 390-horsepower 5.0-liter 32-valve DOHC V8 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) or with a 303-horsepower 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 engine, the FX continues to go from strength to strength.
G25
The Infiniti G25 Sedan, which also makes its show debut in the Middle East at Dubai International Motor Show, features a new 2.5-liter V6 and 7-speed automatic transmission, and shares the same dynamic exterior, interior and chassis as the G37, but with a smaller displacement engine and improved fuel economy. The 2.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 produces 218 horsepower and 25.8 kg-m of torque.
“With the new Infiniti G25 Sedan, we’re broadening the appeal of the G Line with a model designed to provide an additional choice for buyers looking for a true luxury sedan, but who might not need the higher levels of performance provided by our larger engine-equipped G37 models,” said Juergen Schmitz, General Manager, Infiniti Middle East. “The G25 is positioned in the heart of the luxury sport sedan market, allowing us to bring Infiniti’s Inspired Performance to a wider selection of buyers.”
FX Sebastian Vettel version
Created by automotive design icon Shiro Nakamura and the two-time Formula One champion, Sebastian Vettel, this ultra-exclusive concept
model gives a strong indication of the final design of the production version, of which details will shortly be announced.
